Columbia Kiwanis Teenager of the Year


The Kiwanis Club of Columbia is seeking nominations for Columbia’s Teenager of the Year. The purpose of this award is to give recognition to a deserving teenager for his/her academic achievements, citizenship, service to his/her school and community, character and leadership performance.

The finalists will be recognized at a reception held at Kahler Hall on Monday, April 21st at 6:30pm. Each finalist will be given the opportunity at the reception to speak for a few minutes about his/her experiences related to service within the community. The nominee who is determined to be the best from among the applications submitted will be recognized as the Kiwanis Club of Columbia’s Teenager of the Year at an awards dinner in June. The selected finalist will receive a scholarship of $1000 to be paid to the school of his/her choice. The selected finalist will also have the chance to apply for the Capital District of Kiwanis International’s Teenager of the Year.
